The Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Technology (CERT) the commercial arm of the Higher Colleges of Technology will launch the UAE's first 'home-grown' technology solution for the management of traffic at Gitex.

CERT Chairman H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan and CERT Vice-Chairman Dr. Tayeb A. Kamali utilizing some of the wireless communication tools used by students of CERT and the Higher Colleges of Technology. His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Chairman of CERT and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Mr. Ren Zhengfei the founder of the Chinese Telecom giant Huawei. The CERT Huawei collaboration will result in the deployment of new telecom technologies in the UAE as well as technology transfer and intellectual property development between CERT Soft and Huawei.

  Dr. Tayeb Kamali, Chairman of CERT makes a presentation of CERT Innovation City to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahayan at IDEX. Students of CERT and HCT joined the presentation to meet His Highness, and invite him to the international Education without Borders conference to be held February 25, 26 and 27 at the Emirates Palace Hotel. 1000 students from more than 150 countries will attend the event. CERT signed an MOU with World Challenge, UK to partner in the development of experiential learning in the UAE. CERT Corporate Headquaters
