News-> MOU between HCT and Certiport

March 11, 2008–A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Center of Excellency for Research and Training (CERT) and Certiport IT Solutions on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the Abu Dhabi Men’s College (HCT).

Certiport has completed two of the most powerful digital literacy assessment solutions ever developed. The Internet and computing Benchmark and The Internet and computing Mentor are comprehensive assessment tools.

The Internet and Computing Mentor, provides comprehensive reporting capabilities for employees and allows classification by department, division or location.

The Internet and computing Benchmark, is designed to assess the digital skill level of individuals. The assessment will give companies the ability to establish accurate baselines for recruiting, and develop effective training programs.

The cooperation between CERT and Certiport will be in the fields of IT research and development, IT training and solutions. The memorandum was signed as a result of number of meetings between the two parties in which they have explored their mutual interests and the possible means of cooperation especially in having a joint training center in CERT.

The Memorandum was signed by Dr. Tayeb Kamali in his capacity as the Vice Chancellor of the HCT and the head of CERT and Mrs. Marie Taylor, in her capacity as the Executive Vice President.

Dr. Tayeb Al kamali in his capacity as the Chancellor of the HCT and the head of CERT and Mrs. Marie Taylor, in her capacity as the Executive Vice President sign the memorandum at the presence of His Highness Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mubarak Al-Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Research.
