ABU DHABI � Abu Dhabi Securities Market (ADSM) in cooperation with Centre of Excellence
for Applied Research & Training (CERT) launched brokers educational programme
to improve the services of brokerage firms.
�This project was initiated by Abu Dhabi Securities Market to help achieving the
market objective of developing capital market and sharing the responsibility of
establishing economic and financial stability as well as supporting the creation
of financial advisers who are able to assist investors to take decisions based on
financial analysis,� said Rashid Al Boloushi acting Director General ADSM while
speaking at the launcing ceremony of the programme.
Since the establishment of ADSM, he said the market have taken seriously the responsibility
of localising brokerage career.
�ADSM will sponsor number of HCT graduates by paying full educational expenses of
this programme to prepare them to join the capital market, we believe that human
resources is the spinal code of any successful institution the market will sponsor
number of its employees to obtain this certificate,� Rashid Al Boloushi said.
CERT was chosen among different educational institutions because of HCT experience
in education and skills improvements using the latest techniques and the best instructors.
The programme focuses on the necessary knowledge that a professional broker needs
to obtain including different financial instruments, managing brokerage firms, customer
services, rules and regulations, financial analysis and financial advisory.
This programme was structured to meet the international standards specifically (SII)
Securities & Investment Institute, a well known institution that accredites
brokers and financial advisers in UK. The technical courses of this educational
programme will be equivalent to the technical courses of SII. Graduates can taken
one more course about the rules and regulations in UK through SII to be eligible
to practise brokerage profession in UK.
Moreover, the educational programme will be launched at first to ADSM brokers, selected
HCT graduates and ADSM staff. In Future it will include any licensed broker in the
UAE as well as businessmen and students based on priority of registration.
