Cathexis provides RFID based registration / event management solution for Dubai Microsoft conference with CEO Bill Gates

Cathexis Innovations, part of the CERT Group of Companies, was requested by Microsoft to provide an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) attendee registration and welcoming solution for the Build People Ready Business 08 event featuring Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates. The event was hosted at the Emirates Towers, Godolphin Ballroom, on January 27, 2008.

The Build People Ready Businesses 08 event was invitation only to the top business executives in the GCC region to hear Mr. Gates speak .

Cathexis Innovations deployed their RFID event management solution which allowed the attendees to be automatically registered and identified as they entered the venue.

Each attendee received an RFID enabled badge with their invitation, which was read as they walked thru the main doors, and were subsequently greeted by a personalized message on the LCD display screen in the foyer.

This allowed the event organizers to efficiently manage the entrance of hundreds of people to the event, in less than one hour. This system was also significant to the attendees as they were also able to enter effortlessly and avoid the usual tedium of queuing for registration and issuing of badges.

The RFID event management system can be adapted for many different situations and configurations, providing a significant advancement in event registrations and attendee tracking.  Cathexis plans to expand its presence in the Event Management space, offering turn-key solutions for a broad range of events and venues.
