Transportation Engineering
This program is sponsored by Department of Transport - Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi Men’s College offers a Bachelor program in the Transportation Engineering field. The primary purpose of this program is to provide UAE Nationals, fully sponsored by the Abu Dhabi emirate’s Department of Transport (DOT-Abu Dhabi), with the necessary skills to take up employment as technologists and engineers with the department.
Transportation Engineering develops an infrastructure of highways, airports, mass transit, seaports, etc. which should meet the highest international standards. The design and subsequent maintenance of such networks requires up-to-date knowledge of current international methods and technologies needed for its implementation in new and existing facilities.
There are great demands to provide transportation professionals for government entities in the areas of design, operation and maintenance of the different modes of transportation facilities to serve the expanding national and expatriate population. DOT-Abu Dhabi recognizes the importance of training UAE nationals as engineers to assist in running and maintaining the expansion of transportation infrastructure.
To meet these educational and training demands, ADMC and CERT in partnership with DOT-Abu Dhabi have developed a bachelor program in transportation engineering through a design plan combining HCT engineering core courses, basic civil engineering courses, and specialist transportation engineering courses.
