CERT Capital
CERT Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of CERT Corporation, is a USD 100 million private investment fund. CERT Capital mobilizes and manages CERT investments in innovative technologies, as well as CERT acquisitions and investments in the Health Sector and in Education and Training.
Candidate Profile
Candidates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of corporate finance (M&A) and the operational issues/risk inherent in major investments
Strong technology and/or education sector knowledge, ideally with previous exposure to M and A in the technology and/or health fields will be required. You will be a highly numerate professional with advanced financing and negotiation skills. Five years project finance, private equity or investment management experience, ideally with a major Investment Bank or leading private equity fund.
Responsibilities
- Manages the day to day operations of CERT Capital.
- Develops, implements and oversees an investment strategy for CERT Capital.
- Develops, implements and oversees a due diligence protocol for potential investments.
- Expertly applies financial analysis, business experience and market knowledge to initiate, and/or assess the risk and benefits of potential investment transactions.
- Communicates regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide the Board and investment committee.
- Applies commercial judgment and astute due diligence in assessing economic risk and return to CERT relative to specific transactions
- Expertly guides the work of analysts as well as internal and external consultants to ensure the integrity and maximum advantage of investments.
- Interfaces effectively with a strong global network of investment bankers to position CERT Capital in a favorable deal flow position.
- Supports the work of the CEO of CERT Corporation to ensure that growth targets are met or exceeded.
- Make a meaningful contribution to corporate development as a member of the senior management team of CERT Corporation.
Credentials
- Five or more years of private equity investment experience.
- Demonstrated success in the management of investment portfolios
- A strong finance, accounting or economics background and formal training in same
- MBA; CPA, CFA or ASA designation a plus
- Relationship builder and a strong force to pull people together and to rally the organization around common goals and common culture.
- High energy, hard working
- Open-minded and self-confident with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
